“I’ve experienced a variety of NIA teachers over many years, and Michele is by far the best. She puts her heart and soul into every class, seamlessly weaving dance with awareness of anatomy, principles of movement, and guided imagery. She leads your body through safe and easy patterns, encourages your mind to be present and connected, and opens your spirit through playful exploration. I finish each class feeling peaceful, aligned, and radiant. It's so much fun, you forget that you’re exercising!”
Lori, Santa Rosa
“Whatever mood I am in when I walk into a NIA class, I am better when I walk out....more joyful, peaceful, flexible, expanded, balanced. Over the years NIA has continued to teach me about myself, mind-body-and-spirit, and continues to be an ever delightful part of my life.”
Bobbi B., Santa Rosa
“I discovered Nia on my birthday last year, and it was more like a "re-birth" day. I was moved by the spiritual aspect as well as the beauty and strength of the techniques and became hooked instantly. This was the missing piece in my very active life! Nia satisfies my love of dance, personal growth and powerful exercise all in one. It teaches respect for our bodies so we're not pushing past unsafe limits. This practice is about the joy of movement, which is so refreshing. I stay happy and fit with Michele's classes!”

“Hey Michele, I want to thank you for teaching me the arts of Nia. I enjoy my time with you and my favorite thing to do is dance I have a hard time with thinking of moves for a dance and then you come along and that all fades away. I have also taken dance classes for a long time and you’re my favorite teacher because all of the classes I have taken have been jazz, ballet, tap. They were all great, but they are also strict but in Nia it’s like you’re flying through the air like you don’t have to be perfect and not the best but can be you. You have also inspired me and made me have the thought of teaching Nia when I grow up. I thank you SO much for that and I will never forget you EVER!!!”
Natalie (age 10), Santa Rosa
“The first time I joined your Nia class, I had a wonderful feeling come over me about halfway through the class. It can't be easily described, but I'll try. It felt as if I was suddenly remembering who I am. The music and movement awakened a forgotten playfulness, and I had a few moments of pure joy -- something I’d not felt in a very long time.”
